SERVICE BRAKES
I LEASED MY INFINITI M37 SPORT THE FIRST MONTH IT CAME OUT IN 2010 (2011 MODEL). THE FIRST DAY I DROVE THE CAR THE ISSUES WERE APPARENT. I DROVE IT DIRECTLY BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEY SAID EVERYTHING WAS FINE..ITS LEARNING YOUR DRIVING STYLE..(I TOO HAVE HAD MERCEDES, BMW, AUDI ETC THAT LEARN YOUR DRIVING STYLE) THIS WAS NOT THE CASE. WELL, NOW I AM AT 33,000 MILES AND THE ISSUES HAVE ONLY GOTTEN WORSE. ITS BEEN TO THE DEALER A NUMBER OF TIMES FOR THE JUMPY STOPS...WHEN BREAKING (NORMAL NON AGGRESSIVE) THE TRANNY WANTS TO JUMP FORWARD AND ALMOST HIT THE PERSON IN FRONT OF ME. ITS EXTREMELY SCARY AND INFINITI HAS NOTHING TO SAY ABOUT THIS? IT NOT ONLY DOES THAT BUT WHEN BREAKING IT DOWNSHIFTS BAD AND BUMPS AT TIMES. WITH THE AC ON I NOTICED IT DOES ALL OF THIS MORE FREQUENTLY, ALTHOUGH THE ISSUES ARE ALWAYS THERE. NOW IT RANDOMLY DROPS RPM'S ALMOST DOWN TO STALLING THEN KICKS IT BACK UP (CATCHES IT SELF - LARGE RPM SWINGS) WHILE AT A COMPLETE STOP. I'VE DONE THE ECU FLASHES AND OTHER TRICKS THAT HAVE DONE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. SAD THING IS THIS CAR HAS ONE OF THE BEST DESIGNS AND MOST AMAZING INTERIORS, JUST ONE OF THE WORST ENGINE SET UPS EVER...VERY DANGEROUS AND THERE HAS BEEN A NUMBER OF TIMES MY CAR ALMOST JUMPED FORWARD WHILE BRAKING AND HIT THE PERSON IN FRONT OF ME. I AM REALLY UPSET, CAN SOMEONE PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS, THERE ARE A TON OF COMPLAINTS ONLINE AND NO ONE IS BEING HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR A FIX. POWER TRAIN
HAVE OWNED THE CAR SLIGHTLY OVER A YEAR. SINCE THE BEGINNING THE TRANSMISSION HAS SHIFTED ERRATICALLY, IS IN 4TH GEAR AT 25 MPH. WHEN STEPPING ON GAS THE CAR HESITATES WHILE TRYING TO PICK A GEAR. THERE IS NO POWER AT LOW SPEEDS BECAUSE THE CAR IS IN TOO HIGH A GEAR. AT HIGHER SPEEDS IF YOU TOUCH THE BRAKES THE CAR DROPS TWO OR THREE GEARS CAUSING THE CAR TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY FROM THE DOWNSHIFT. THE ENGINE KNOCKS CONSTANTLY AT LOW SPEEDS DUE TO THE GEARING EVEN THOUGH PREMIUM FUEL IS REQUIRED. DEALER HAS TRIED TO REPAIR AND APPLIED SOFTWARE PATCH THAT TOOK ALMOST A YEAR TO RECEIVE BUT NO HELP. DEALERSHIP SAYS NOTHING CAN BE DONE. FROM RESEARCH AND OTHER NHTSA COMPLAINTS THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. TRIED TO GET INFINITI TO REPURCHASE BUT THEY REFUSE TO STAND BEHIND CAR, SAY IT'S "WITHIN SPECS". CAR IS UNSAFE BECAUSE OF SEVERE DOWNSHIFT COMPRESSION AT HIGHER SPEED, NO POWER AND SEVERE HESITATION AT LOWER SPEEDS. *TR
