I WAS DRIVING MY 2006 INFINITI M35 ON THE HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 55-60 MILES AN HOUR WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE DRIVERS SEAT FELL BACK OFF OF ITS FRAME ALMOST CAUSING ME TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE CAR WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER AND THEY EXPLAINED TO ME THAT THE SEATS ARE WELDED TO THE FRAME NOT BOLTED AND THE WELD BROKE LOSE. THEY SAID BECAUSE MY CAR WAS OUT OF WARRANTY THAT THE FACTORY WOULD NOT COVER THE COST AND THEREFORE IT WOULD COST ME 1100.00 DOLLARS TO REPAIR IT. I CONTACTED THERE CONSUMER AFFAIRS DIVISION TO ASK THEM FOR ASSISTANCE AND THEY REFUSE TO OFFER ANY HELP, SHOWING NO CONCERN FOR THE FACT THAT I COULD HAVE BEEN KILL DUE TO A DESIGN FAILURE ON THAT SEAT. *TR |

I JUST BOUGHT A BRAND NEW 2006 INFINITI M35 ON OCTOBER OF 2005 FROM MILLER IFINITI IN THE CITY OF VAN NUYS CA. I BARELY HAVE 3 MONTHS WITH THIS CAR AND THE BRAKES ARE ALREADY SQUEAKING. I CALLED THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND SPOKE TO CARL MILLER (MANAGER OF THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT) AND ADVISED IN DETAIL OF THE "SQUEAKING PROBLEM OF MY VEHICLE" HE LITERALLY TOLD ME "QUOTE ON QUOTE" TO GET ON THE FREEWAY AND ON THE WAY OUT OF THE EXIT TO BRAKE REALLY HARD - THAT WOULD SUPPOSEDLY FIXED THE PROBLEM. I SAID NO, I TOLD HIM THAT I WAS GOING TO TAKE MY CAR IN FOR HIM TO CHECK IT, THEN HE SAID, THAT IT WOULD NOT MATTER BECAUSE, HE WOULD TELL ME THE SAME THING ONCE I GOT THERE (BASICALLY, SEND ME BACK HOME). THE BRAKES ARE SQUEAKING REALLY BAD TO BE SUCH A NEW CAR. I REFUSE TO PUT MYSELF OR MY FAMILY IN DANGER FOLLOWING THE PROCEDURES GIVEN FROM CARL MILLER (SERVICE MANAGER). I SERIOUSLY THINK, THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE BRAKES/DISCS OF THIS MODELS (I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE RESOLVED RIGHT AWAY). ACCORDING TO CARL MILLER THIS IS NORMAL PROTOCOL FOR SUCH PROBLEMS. I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THAT INFINTI SUPPOSEDLY A LUXURY BRAND EXPECTS THE CUSTOMER TO DO THIS HORRENDOUS PROCEDURE DUE TO THEIR POORLY MADE VEHICLES (POOR ENGINEERING). IF THIS PROBLEM IS NOT RESOLVED, I WILL NEVER AGAIN BUY FROM INFINITI. IN THE FUTURE I LOOK FORWARD TO LEXUS AND ACURA REAL LUXURY VEHICLES. *JB |
