THERE WAS A NOISE, THERN ABOUT TEN SECONDS AFTER THE TIRE BLEW. THE TREAD CAME COMPLETELY OFF, WITH THE SIDE WALLS ABOUT 50% INTACT. THE TREAD WAS STILL COMPLETELY INTACT AND RETAINED ITS SHAPE.( DOT NUMBER: TIRE SIZE: P245/70R1S )

SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:ANTILOCK:CONTROL UNIT/MODULE
DT: CONSUMER GOT A RECALL LETTER IN MARCH 2004 ON THE ABS MODULE SYSTEM . HAD RECALL PROBLEM FIXED ON JULY 29, 2004. NOW, WHEN BRAKES APPLIED, THE CAR WILL NOT STOP AT REQUIRED DISTANCE AND CONTINUES ON A FEW FEET MORE WHILE DRIVING FORWARD OR BACKWARD. DROVE ON A COLD DAY ,AND WHEN HE PARKED VEHICLE AND TURNED IT OFF, IT MADE A NOISE LIKE A FAN BLOWING. TOOK IT TO DEALER, AND THEY FIXED THE ABS MODULE SYSTEM AT OWNER'S EXPENSE. THE BRAKES ARE STILL NOT RIGHT. GAVE THE DEALER $200.00 TO REPLACE REAR ROTORS, AND ALL THEY DID WAS PUT NEW PADS ON OLD ROTORS. *AK CONSUMER STATES NEW PADS WITH THE OLD ROTORS MADE HIM RUN INTO A BRICK WALL. *TT
