TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 HONDA CRV. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR DRIVER SIDE TIRE WAS CONSTANTLY LOSING PRESSURE ABNORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO ADVISED THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE TIRE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHO LOCATED A DEFECT IN THE REAR DRIVER SIDE WHEEL. THE MECHANIC ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE WHEEL HAD PIN HOLES THAT WERE CAUSING THE TIRE TO LOOSE PRESSURE ABNORMALLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND OFFERED A DISCOUNT ON THE WHEEL REPLACEMENT. THE WHEEL WAS NOT REPLACED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 72,500. UPDATED 07/20/11 *BF

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION:SWITCH
CONSUMER RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE 02V12 IN THE MAIL REGARDING THE IGNITION SWITCH. CONSUMER LEARNED THERE WERE STIPULATIONS TO THE RECALL. CONSUMER RECEIVED A REMOTE STARTER AS A GIFT BUT WAS INSTALLED AT A DIFFERENT FACILITY. CONSUMER WAS TOLD THE DEALERSHIP WOULD ONLY REPAIR THE IGNITION SWITCH AND WOULD HAVE TO DEACTIVATE THE REMOTE STARTER. THE DEALERSHIP HOWEVER WILL NOT REACTIVATE THE REMOTE STARTER AND CONSUMER WOULD HAVE TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO ANOTHER FACILITY AND HAVE THEM REACTIVATE THE STARTER AT CONSUMERS EXPENSE. *JG
