EVER SINCE I PURCHASED BY 2011 HONDA ACCORD CROSSTOUR THE WINDSHIELD HAS HAD PROBLEMS: IT SCRATCHES EASILY AND IT FINALLY CRACKED AFTER A VERY SMALL ROCK STRUCK IT. IT SEEMS TO CHIP LIKE A DRINKING GLASS WOULD RATHER THAN A WINDSHIELD. I THINK THE WINDSHIELD GLASS IS UNSAFE AND NOT TO STANDARDS. WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE THE SALESMAN LAMENTED ABOUT PROBLEMS WITH HONDA WINDSHIELDS AND I SHOULD HAVE RECONSIDERED THE PURCHASE THEN. I HAVE OWNED TWO OTHER HONDA VEHICLES AND NEVER HAD THE PROBLEMS THAT I DO WITH THIS CAR. I AM REPLACING THE GLASS (I HAVE TO PAY FOR IT) WITHIN A MONTH AND WOULD LIKE TO HAVE SOMEONE TEST IT TO SEE IF IT MEETS REGULATIONS. THE DEALER INTENDS TO DISCARD IT OTHERWISE. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 HONDA ACCORD CROSSTOUR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS CONSUMING OIL AT AN EXTREMELY HIGH RATE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH THE CHECK ENGINE AND OIL LIGHTS BEGAN TO ILLUMINATE ON THE ISNTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED OVER AND SHUT OFF. THE CONTACT CHECKED THE OIL AND DISCOVERED THAT THERE WAS NO OIL IN THE ENGINE. AFTER ADDING MORE OIL TO THE ENGINE, THE CONTACT CONTINUED TO DRIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO HAVE THE FAILURE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,200.
