TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD TRANSIT CONNECT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION DOWNSHIFTED INTO SECOND GEAR WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE RPM INCREASED, THE VEHICLE JERKED, AND BECAME DIFFICULT TO CONTROL. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND RESUMED NORMAL FUNCTION. THE FAILURE WAS EXPERIENCED NUMEROUS TIMES AND WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE THROTTLE BODY AND ACCELERATOR RELAY WAS REPLACED AND THE ENGINE WAS REBUILT BUT THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 56,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 79,645.
