VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL:ACCELERATOR PEDAL
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD MUSTANG. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS AND ENGAGING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THE PEDAL WOULD BECOME STUCK. AS A RESULT, THERE WAS AN INCREASE IN ENGINE RPMS.THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT SHE WOULD HAVE TO KICK AT THE PEDAL OR ENGAGE THE BRAKES IN ORDER TO RELEASE THE ACCELERATOR FROM BEING STUCK. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
