NOV 14, 2013 - BURLESON, TX - POWER TRAIN I HAD ALMOST THE EXACT SAME ISSUE AS THE PERSON WHO POSTED ON 11/14 FROM BURLESON, TX. WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM WORK, THE WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR SEEMED TO GO INTO NEUTRAL AND STOPPED ACCELERATING. I PRESSED THE GAS, BUT IT DIDN'T HELP. I TURNED ON MY FLASHERS AND DID MANAGE TO PULL INTO A NEARBY HOTEL PARKING LOT. SHIFTING IT INTO MANUAL, 2ND GEAR, AS I WAS DOING THIS SEEMED TO PROVIDE A LITTLE POWER. I SHUT OFF THE CAR AND SAT FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES. WHEN I RESTARTED THE CAR, IT DROVE LIKE NORMAL, THEN REPEATED THE ISSUE AFTER I MADE ANOTHER STOP ON THE WAY HOME ABOUT 10 MINUTES LATER. I HAVE SCHEDULED IT FOR SERVICE FOR MONDAY, 11/18 SO I DON'T YET HAVE THE DEALER DIAGNOSIS, BUT GIVEN THE NUMBER OF SIMILAR ISSUES I'M SEEING ON THIS SITE, I WANTED TO GET MY INCIDENT IN AS WELL AS IT APPEARS THAT THIS MAY BE A RECALL ISSUE, SO MY COMPLAINT VERY MUCH MIRRORS THE ONE FROM BURLESON, TX, WHERE HE OR SHE FOUND 10'S OF THOUSANDS OF 2010 FORD FUSION OWNERS FACING OR HAVING FACED THIS SAME ISSUE. *TR

ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY AT 70MPH ON A STRAIGHT SECTION OF ROAD THE POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT AND ADVANCE TRAC FAULT APPEARED ON THE DASH AND THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME VERY STIFF (DIFFICULT TO TURN). THIS HAS HAPPENED A TOTAL OF 4 TIMES, ONCE ABOUT A MONTH AGO, AND TWICE ON THE 16TH. 3 WERE ON THE FREEWAY AND THE FOURTH UPON STARTING THE CAR LATER ON THE 16TH. EVERY TIME IT WAS RESET BY TURNING THE CAR OFF AND LETTING IT SIT FOR A MINUTE AND RESTARTING. *TR
