VISIBILITY:POWER WINDOW DEVICES AND CONTROLS
I DRIVE A 2004 FORD F-150 SUPER CREW THE WINDOW REGULATORS KEEP FAILING. IT HAS HAPPENED TO ALL 4 DOORS IN MY TRUCK MORE THAN ONCE. I HAVE HAD FORD REPLACE 2 OF THEM AND DUE TO THE HIGH COST I AM REPAIRING THEM THE BEST I CAN NOW. THE INCIDENTS STARTED MARCH OF 2007 (JUST WHEN THE WARRANTY IS UP), WHAT HAPPENS IS THAT YOU WILL BE DRIVING ALONG AND ROLL DOWN THE WINDOW. A LOUD NOISE WILL OCCUR AND THE WINDOW FALLS TO THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR. THE PROBLEM WITH THE WINDOW REGULATORS IS THAT THE CABLE SYSTEM DOES NOT STAY IN PLACE. I KNOW THAT MANY OTHER PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME TROUBLE WITH THIS, SO PLEASE GET FORD TO RECALL THIS PROBLEM BEFORE SOMEONE OR SOMETHING IS INJURED. THERE WAS NO INJURIES OR OTHER MISHAPS DUE TO THESE FAILURES YOU COULD CALL THESE NEAR MISSES. THESE FAILURES COULD CAUSE INJURIES OR DAMAGE TO OTHER CARS ON THE ROADS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH, HE HEARD A LOUD NOISE AS THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED. THE CONTACT INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND FOUND THAT THE BOLT ON THE ENGINE HEAD WAS RUSTED AND BECAME CORRODED. IN ADDITION, THE MANIFOLD WAS CRACKED AND LEAKING CARBON DIOXIDE DUE TO THE CORROSION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
