PRIOR TO OUR 2000 FORD EXPEDITION BEING RECALLED FOR THE CRUISE CONTROL PROBLEMS, WE EXPERIENCED ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS WITH THE INTERIOR LIGHTING GROUP; RADIO, WINDSHIELD WIPERS, ETC. AFTER A RAIN, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WOULD NOT WORK AND THE BLOWER MOTOR WOULD REMAIN ON OR BE ON WITHOUT IGNITION ACTIVATION. THE BATTERY HAS RUN DOWN BECAUSE OF THIS! WE RECENTLY EXPERIENCED THE PROBLEMS AGAIN AND TOOK THE VEHICLE TO OUR MECHANIC WHO RECOMMENDED AN ELECTRICAL SPECIALIST. HE DIAGNOSED THE WINDSHIELD SEAL LEAK AS A CONTRIBUTING FACTOR TO THE JUNCTION BOX-GEM MODULE MALFUNCTIONING. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 FORD EXPEDITION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED WHEN HE NOTICED THAT HE WAS UNABLE TO ADJUST THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE SEAT TO SLIDE BACKWARD. THE CONTACT EXPRESSED CONCERNS OF BEING SEATED TOO CLOSE TO THE STEERING WHEEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE MOTOR, SEAT TRACK AND WIRING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT THE MANUFACTURER WAS USING AN UPDATED WIRING SYSTEM IF HE OPTED FOR THE REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE, BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 58,000.
