CRUISE CONTROL WAS ENGAGED AT 70MPH. ALL OF A SUDDEN, RPMS JUMPED TO 4000 AND SPEED STARTED TO INCREASE OUT OF CONTROL. TAPPED THE BRAKE TO DISENGAGE AND DID NOT WORK. PULLED OVER AND PREPARED TO TURN OFF THE ENGINE, HIT THE "CANCEL" BUTTON A COUPLE OF TIMES FOR THE CRUISE CONTROL. CRUISE FINALLY DISENGAGED AND RPMS DROPPED TO NORMAL RANGE. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD EXHIBIT AN ABNORMAL KNOCKING NOISE WHEN SHIFTING GEARS. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS A FRACTURED MOTOR MOUNT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 48,000.
