MY HUSBAND WAS ON THE HWY DOING 55 WHEN MY CAR JUST WENT WHEW AND LOST ALL POWER, WE HAD IT TOWED TO THE GARAGE WHERE THEY TOLD US THE MOTOR HAD A CRACK ON BOTH SIDES OF IT. THE MECHANIC SAID HE HAD NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT AND HAD NO IDEA WHAT WOULD HAVE CAUSED IT. THE CAR HAD JUST HAD AN OIL CHANGE THE WEEK BEFORE AND HAD THE REQUIRED AMOUNT OF OIL, ANTIFREEZE IN IT. DID THIS HAPPEN BECAUSE OF A POSSIBLE DEFECT? *TR

FROM THE TIME THE CAR WAS NEW WHEN THE ABS OR TRACTION CONTROL WAS ENGAGED THE CAR MADE A CLICKING NOISE. AS NEVER HAVING A CAR WITH THIS FEATURE I THOUGHT WAS NORMAL. IN MARCH OF 2010 MY BRAKES FAILED ON MY 07 PACIFICA. UPON TAKING THE CAR TO THE DEALER I WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS CONTAMINATED FLUID IN THE BRAKE SYSTEM AND THE ENTIRE SYSTEM HAD TO BE REPLACED. NEW CALIPERS, ABS MODULE, LINES, HOSES MASTER CYLINDER ECT. THE BILL WAS $2500 WHICH I HAD TO PAY BECAUSE THEY ARE CLAIMING CONTAMINATED FLUID. I HAD BEEN THE ONLY PERSON TO SERVICE THE BRAKES ON THAT CAR AND DID NOT ADD FLUID WHEN REPLACING THE FRONT PADS. WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED THE CAR WOULD COME TO A STOP AND START ROLLING AGAIN. I AVOIDED CRASHING BY STANDING ON THE PEDAL AS HARD AS I COULD. AFTER REPLACING THE ENTIRE BRAKE SYSTEM THE CLICKING HAS STOPPED. I HAVE DRIVEN CHRYSLER/ DODGE CARS FOR 12 YEARS...
