TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1999 CHRYSLER CONCORDE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH ON NORMAL ROAD CONDITIONS, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE STALLED INTERMITTENTLY AND THE CHECK OIL WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE WARNING INDICATOR REMAINED LIT UNTIL THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE AND INSPECTED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT OIL SLUDGE CAUSED THE ENGINE FAILURE AND IT WAS RECOMMENDED THAT THE ENGINE BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY INOPERABLE AND HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHRYSLER CONCORDE. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE ENGINE STOPPED RUNNING. THE FAILURE ALSO OCCURS AT ANY SPEED AND, OCCASIONALLY, THE VEHICLE WILL NOT RESTART. THERE ARE NO WARNING INDICATORS PRIOR TO THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING AT A STEADY PACE BEFORE SHUTTING OFF. OFTENTIMES, THE VEHICLE WILL START BACK UP OR IT HAS TO REMAIN PARKED FOR 2-3 MINUTES BEFORE RESTARTING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A MECHANIC SHOP, BUT THEY COULD NOT DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
