IN REFERENCE TO THE CURRENT INVESTIGATION OF GM TRUCKS AND SUVS FOR BRAKE PROBLEMS AT LOW SPEED. AS I SLOW DOWN OR HAVE TO STOP ON CLEAR/DRY ROADWAYS, I HAVE BEEN FORTUNATE NOT TO SMASH INTO THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME OR TO CAUSE AN ACCIDENT BY GOING PAST THE STOP SIGN. I HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH MY 1999 CHEVY TAHOE SINCE DECEMBER, 2004 AND IT'S GETTING WORSE. IT USED TO HAPPEN JUST ONCE IN AWHILE, NOW IT HAPPENS 99% OF THE TIME WHEN I SLOW DOWN OR NEED TO STOP(AT A SPEED OF UNDER 10). I'M HAVING TO DOUBLE PUMP THE BRAKES AND STILL PRAY IT WILL STOP IN TIME. MOST REPAIR PLACES WANT TO REPLACE THE HUBS FOR A VERY HIGH PRICE OF $500 PER WHEEL OR MORE. I AM A MICHIGAN RESIDENT LIVING IN A "SALT BELT" STATE AND I'M NOT UNDERSTANDING WHY THE 1999 YEAR CHEVY TAHOE ISN'T COVERED UNDER THE RECALL FOR REPAIRING THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKES. I WOULD LIKE TO CHALLENGE THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE AND THEN DETERMINE IF IT SHOULDN'T BE COVERED. *NM
