ON 6/21 CAR FAILED TO START. THERE WERE NO LIGHTS IN THE INTERIOR OF THE CAR EXCEPT FOR THE RED BLINKING SECURITY LIGHT ON THE RADIO. AFTER NUMEROUS TRIES THE CAR STARTED. DEALER SUBSEQUENTLY REPLACED THE BODY COMPUTER MODULE. ON 7/3, WHILE DRIVING IN A BUSINESS AREA, APPROXIMATELY 35 MILES PER HOUR, BATTERY, AIRBAG AND SEATBELT LIGHTS WENT ON, SPEEDOMETER FROZE AT 35 MILES PER HOUR, AND AIR CONDITIONER COMPRESSOR CUT OUT. AFTER 10 SECONDS THE RED LIGHTS WENT OUT AND THE SPEEDOMETER WORKED AGAIN. AFTER 1 MINUTE THE SAME THING HAPPENED FOR ABOUT 10 SECONDS, AND THEN THE LIGHTS WENT OUT AND AFTER ABOUT 30 SECONDS ALL EVENTS ABOVE HAPPENED AGAIN AND AFTER ABOUT 10 SECONDS THE RED LIGHTS WENT OUT AND WERE REPLACED BY THE ORANGE SECURITY LIGHT WHICH STAYED LIT - AND WAS STILL ON WHEN WE LEFT IT WITH THE DEALER (SOME 20 MINUTES LATER). TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET MONTE CARLO. SINCE DECEMBER OF 2006, THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP AT LEAST THREE TIMES FOR SEVERAL DIFFERENT FAILURES. THE TRANSMISSION WAS IMPROPERLY REPAIRED THE FIRST TIME AND WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE SHOP. THE BATTERY DIED AND THE CONTACT WAS NOT GIVEN A NEW ONE. THE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM WITH ONSTAR IS MAKING A LOUD SQUEAKING NOISE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MECHANIC DOES NOT PERFORM THE REPAIRS AND LEAVES THE VEHICLE PARKED FOR WEEKS AT A TIME. THE ENGINE SIZE WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 33,852 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,000.
