TL* THE CONTACT PREVIOUSLY OWNED A 2009 CHEVROLET AVEO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE EXHAUST PIPE DID NOT EXTEND BEYOND THE BUMPER CAUSING THE FUMES TO ESCAPE INTO THE VEHICLE. HE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY COULD NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. THE CONTACT TRADED THE VEHICLE IN FOR ANOTHER VEHICLE DUE TO THE PROBLEM. HE HAD NOT SPOKEN WITH THE MANUFACTURER IN REGARD TO THE PROBLEM. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 4,000. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 1,000. VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHEVROLET AVEO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE INITIATED IN POWER DOWN MODE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES AND AT TIMES, WOULD CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO STALL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER THREE TIMES WHERE THEY AGAIN, REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY AS WELL AS THE SPARK PLUGS AND THE O2 SENSOR. THE REPAIRS FAILED TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER A THIRD TIME WHO WAS NOT ABLE TO DETERMINE WHAT WAS CAUSING THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE WHO DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
