SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO HER LOCAL MECHANIC AND HAD IT DIAGNOSED. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE CONTROL ARM WAS THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE, AND IS CURRENTLY MAKING REPAIRS. THE SPEED WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 80,000. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 CADILLAC CTS. THE CONTACT BACKED OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY, PLACED THE VEHICLE IN DRIVE, WHEN IT SUDDENLY ACCELERATED INDEPENDENTLY. THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL CONTINUOUSLY UNTIL THE VEHICLE CAME TO A STOP. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING WHERE THE TECHNICIAN ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE POWER BRAKE BOOSTER AUXILIARY PUMP WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE REPAIR, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE TECHNICIANS INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT A FUSE TO THE AUXILIARY VACUUM PUMP FAILED AND WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED.
