THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY A DEALER WHO PERFORMED SEVERAL ALIGNMENTS, ROTATED THE TIRES, AND REBUILT THE STEERING RACK AND PINION. AFTERWARDS, THE FRONT SUSPENSION PROBLEM PERSISTED AND THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALERTED.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 BUICK LUCERNE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK AIR BAG LIGHT ILLUMINATED WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH. SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE MECHANIC AND WAS INFORMED THAT IT WAS A COMMON ISSUE. SHE WAS ADVISED TO HAVE THE DEALER MAKE THE REPAIRS. THE DEALER STATED THAT THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH ONE OF THE COMPUTERS IN THE VEHICLE THAT COULD PREVENT THE AIR BAGS FROM DEPLOYING IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH. DURING THIS TIME, THE CONTACT HEARD A VERY LOUD CLUNKING NOISE COMING FROM THE STEERING COMPONENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THEY COULD NOT REPAIR THE VEHICLE SINCE IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. THE CONTACT BELIEVES THAT THIS IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT, BUT THE MANUFACTURER IS REFUSING RESPONSIBILITY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 72,000.
