TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 BMW 750LI. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL BUT THE BRAKE BOOSTER DID NOT ACTIVATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND THEY STATED THAT THE VACUUM PUMP AND THE BRAKE BOOSTER FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED WHO CONFIRMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 10V446000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC: POWER ASSIST: VACUUM). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000. ..UPDATED 11/26/12 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED VACUUM PUMP LEAKED OIL INTO THE VACUUM BOOSTER PIPE THAT CONNECTED TO THE BRAKE BOOSTER. OIL DETERIORATED THE BOOSTER, WHICH RESULTED IN POWER BRAKE FAILURE. UPDATED 11/28/12

ENGINE
WHILE DRIVING ON THE PARKING LOT THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY JERKING AROUND AND ENGINE STOPPED. WHEN TRIED TO RUN THE ENGINE IT WAS SHAKING TREMENDOUSLY AND ENGINE WAS NOT RUNNING. SO I TOWED IT TO THE DEALER NEXT MORNING FOR REPAIR. AFTER REPAIR WAS DONE WHICH TOOK A WEEK I DROVE IT FOR ABOUT 40 MINUTES AND THEN WHEN I APPLIED THE BRAKE IT WAS SHAKING ALOT AGAIN EVERY TIME I WAS APPLYING BRAKE. I FOR SOMEHOW AVOIDING ALL STOP SIGN BY DRIVING CAREFULLY, TOOK THE CAR HOME AND TOOK IT TO THE DEALER NEXT MORNING AT WHICH TIME IT WAS SHAKING TREMENDOUSLY OR SOMETIME MOVING FORWARD FAST(JERKING MOVE) WHEN I APPLIED BRAKE OR STEP ON GAS PEDAL. *TR
